Description
The Greater Ottumwa Vocal Arts Project (GOVAP) is a regional not for profit organization dedicated to advancing vocal performance opportunities in Southeast Iowa. Weekly rehearsals for two auditioned children's choruses provide music education for 60 students in grade 5-7. Summer program opportunities include a week long vocal resident camp, as well as a Summer Musical Theatre Academy that produces professional level musical theatre featuring program alumni and young adults from the region. GOVAP is currently in it's 14th season. We are funded through individual and business donations, and participant tuition. It is our policy to NOT exclude an individual because of an inability to pay tuition and fees. Scholarships are made available, and admission to the program is based on talent only.
