Mission Statement

Held annually the first weekend in March in downtown Tampa, The Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts is one of the Southeast's premier outdoor art shows. Featured art includes paintings, watercolors, drawings, graphics, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, photography, sculpture, glass and digital works. The Festival has always been run by a completely volunteer board of directors and festival committee who spend many years, months and hours working to make the Festival better every year. Lively entertainment has always been an integral part of the Festival and for the last few years Tampa Bay area school systems have provided young performers in addition to the professionals. The history is rich. The traditions are timeless. And the Festival has come into the new century as a vital cultural asset poised for a bright future.

The Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts celebrates its 50th year on February 29th and March 1st, 2020. Join us in Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park in beautiful downtown Tampa.

With some of the country's most accomplished artists and rising stars vying for the $15,000 Raymond James Best of Show Award and an additional $52,500 in prize money, a showcase featuring the works of emerging artists, a weekend full of live entertainment, and a children's art activity area, it's no wonder the festival is widely recognized as one of the top-rated outdoor fine art and craft shows in the country.

Everyone I work with on the committee makes it fun. And I love to meet the artists and see great work.
