Mission Statement

Our mission is to willingly listen to individuals and families in crisis. We work with people to solve immediate problems, assess long term need and resources and accompany them as they move toward self-sufficiency.

Description

Stone Soup volunteer Life Skills counselors, under the guidance of the Director, meet on-site with clients who wish to share their concerns. You will become well-versed in community resources, advocating and creative problem solving. Our Life Skills counselors try to weave together the helpful assets of both the clients themselves and of the community creating from a number of small steps a big picture that lightens the burdens and offers hope to those struggling for life's basic needs.
