THE PROBLEM Driving down the road and seeing wild kittens fending for themselves. Already have way too many foster cats and not enough foster homes. Do we drive by, hoping they'll survive? Maybe someone else will take them in? We now have 10 feral kittens that are between 10 and 12 weeks old who have a chance to be adopted if you are able to help us to "flip" them. THE SOLUTION? You. The odds are against them and that is why we need you, the "expert" to work with one or two of them to help them calm down. TIMING IS CRUCIAL! We need you NOW so please help. All medical expenses for the kittens are paid for by Candy's Cats. The kittens may fear bite or scratch and we cannot be responsible for that. If you are that person, please apply today by filling out our application on our website at www.candyscats.org/forms Foster Application or email candyscats@gmail.com.

Do you love cats? If you love cats and would like to interact with some on the weekends, this is a great opportunity. Candy's Cats keeps cats at the Petsmart Adoption Center at Winter Garden Village. On the weekends there are adoption events every Saturday from 12-3. We need volunteers to come into the store on the weekends to help with the adoption events. First is cleaning the adoption center while the cats are at the adoption event. There are litter boxes to be scooped, cubicles to be cleaned and sanitized, food and water that needs to be refreshed, and floors that need to be swept and mopped. The cleaning usually takes 2 hours and once complete, volunteers help with the adoption event and can entertain the cats and help with the event through closing. This can be a recurring volunteer opportunity to earn community service hours. Apply here: https://forms.gle/YwdMXg1JWQb7HRMc8 The adoption event hours on Saturday are 12:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Foster parents provide a temporary home for a rescued cat while they find their forever homes. The more fosters we have, the more lives we can save! Full Time Fosters take in a cat or kitten from our intake queue or from another foster and provide temporary housing until they are adopted and placed in their forever home. This can be as short as one week or take several weeks. Kitten Fosters are responsible for caring for the youngest arrivals until they are adopted. A Kitten Foster typically fosters a litter of kittens that are not yet fully vaccinated. They require a little more care and attention so kitten fosters should have a somewhat flexible schedule. Your commitment to a foster is: * You provide a safe environment and daily care * You provide unconditional love and affection * You bring your foster to Candy's Cats adoption events * You help our adoption coordinator (AC) by providing up-to-date information and photos of your foster pet. You can also participate in screening potential adopters and marketing your foster cat for adoption. * Letting us know if you need help! We provide: * Routine and emergency medical care at one of our partner vets...at no cost to you. * Essential supplies * Marketing of your cat by posting him or her on multiple websites * Access to adoption events every weekend, a great way to find loving homes for your fosters * Support by our network of volunteers who are here to help and do anything we can to make fostering a great experience! Fostering is the most hands-on volunteer opportunity available in rescue! The number of cats we can save depends on the number of fosters we have helping us. If you are interested in becoming a foster volunteer, please fill out the foster volunteer form at https://forms.gle/4TLn8MAsZDa8ozWQ9
