Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Blood Bank of Alaska and its donors are dedicated to serving the Alaska community by providing safe, pure and potent blood products and laboratory services while meeting changing healthcare needs.
Blood Bank of Alaska was established in 1962 and serves 21 hospitals and medical centers across the state. Our volunteer blood donors make a difference every day for patients in need.
Per FDA regulations all blood donors must volunteer their service in order for the blood to be transfused to patients. BBA collects over 20,000 units of blood every year to help patients recover from various illnesses, trauma and surgeries.
