Caring Place Staff and Volunteers

• Provide shelter and safety to both men and women and their children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

• Provides advocacy and guidance to assist victims of violence to develop vocational skills to allow them to live independently.

• Through the ERV (Emergency Response Volunteer) program, staff and volunteers assist victims of rape and violence through the initial stages of trauma at the hospital or clinic.

• Provides a support group for elder women where shelter living may not be required or appropriate.

• Provides educational resources to the community through its speakers bureau and educational programs.

• All services are confidential and free of charge.
