Would you recommend Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary?
Because Ik they love animals
This a great organization to volunteer for! Why? Because they help dogs and cats in need, and there are so many ways to help. Naturally, they always need foster help but if you cannot do that, there are other ways to volunteer from home from your computer, or by phone, cleaning at their sanctuary, at events, etc. They are a cage free, no kill and all volunteer group and have been around for 20 years now. The volunteer orientation gives more details about the different things you can do and some are described on their website. Try it!
I've volunteered with Happy Tails for several years and I just can't say enough good things about the organization and the volunteers. I've volunteered doing voicemail retrieval, cleaning, fostering, events committee, and social media. I highly recommend getting involved with Happy Tails - they're a wonderful group of people and it's easy to stand behind their mission as a no-kill shelter.
Working to be a best friend to a cat or dog who xoes not have any friends at that particular time is so rewarding. I can look back at the foster dogs that I have helped save, some literally saved from certain death, and feel good. The people at Happy Tails are so dedicated and have been a joy to work with. These cats and dogs need more friends.
There is so much to love about Happy Tails... I LOVE that Happy Tails is a no-kill shelter and that it is run completely by volunteers! It is so great to walk into Happy Tails Adoption Center and know that all those wonderful animals are so safe and loved in the care of these dedicated volunteers. I have been a volunteer at Happy Tails for several years now, helping in various capacities. There are so many areas to help with, you can always find a place that fits your interests. I LOVE all those precious animals I have the privilege of helping... I definitely recommend Happy Tails to anyone with a passion for animals - especially cats!
This place it amazing! So many wonderful kitties to come visit! It's just a neat place to see and visit. I love visiting with the kitties and it's great to see others feel the same way. I didn't even know of this place 'til recently. We should have more places like this in the community. I only minus 1 star because they can't take in all the poor kitties left out on the streets these days. I wish this place was bigger - or, better yet, this place wasn't needed at all - and all these kitties had loving 'forever' homes.
When you volunteer for Happy Tails, no matter the role (and they have a variety!), you have a direct impact on helping abandoned and abused animals in the community. There is a no-kill philosophy and that makes it easier to go home after volunteering because you know the animals are safe until sanctuary is found for them.
It's a great place to meet fellow animal lovers, discover something you're really good at or learn a new skill, and acheive a sense of acheivement and knowledge that you are making a difference in the lives of other people and animals. Almost everyone can find something to do at Happy Tails that works with their schedule and talents. The most important skill you need is to be reliable because the animals and other volunteers count on you - which makes you feel fantastic!
This is a wonderful non-profit animal rescue group who not only treats their animals well, but offers volunteers at least 10 different tasks to get involved with. It is a friendly environment that is cage-free, clean and very organized. If you want to help, this is the place!
This is a no-kill sanctuary! The people are friendly and there is a great team atmosphere. I have cleaned the enclosures and have helped with transporting the cats from Petsmart back to the sanctuary. There has been an increase in pets being abandoned or given up due to this economy and I feel grateful that I can do my part in keeping the doors open and support a no-kill facility. I enjoy spending time with the animals and have come to know many of their different personalities. We are all ecstatic when we hear of one being adopted. It's like a family to work there.
because you are the largest non-kill sancatuary for CATS!
