Mission Statement

Indiependent.org seeks to lessen the burdens of independent foreign musicians unable to financially faciliate efforts to perform in the United States under legal work status. We further our mission by providing quality reduced cost immigration legal services to these usicians. Our Mission includes:

  • encouraging musical diversity in the United States by providing foreign musical influences to the local communities;
  • fostering the exchange of information and ideas between artists, audiences, and the industry;
  • educating the United States audiences about the wealth of musical knowledge and culture being developed in other nations; and,
  • promoting the benefits of musical arts in the local communities and preventing homogenization of the United States music scene.

Description

Established in 2007, Indiependent.org is a nonprofit providing quality reduced cost imigration legal services to independent foreign musicians. Our services is a unique approach to bringing musical diversity and influence to the U.S. that has seen a decline in recent years in funding for musical education. A growing problem exists in the past few years of foreign musicians being barred from entering the U.S. to entertain our communities. With the rising costs of filing and legal fees, Indiependent.org hopes to provide services to musicians not cushioned by the finances of a large record label as well as allowing the artist/s to focus on their craft, tour logistics, and promotion.

Indiependent.org's mission is to foster a relationship between the artists, fans, and donors investing in the arts. By enlisting Indiependent.org's services, we do our part to showcase new music to the U.S. and hope to prevent possible homogenization of the U.S. music scene.
