GGR President Position Have you ever held a leadership position? Have you ever organized and managed volunteers? Have you worked in an animal rescue previously? IF SO, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! Position Summary The President is a volunteer position that is the face of our organization and chosen by the board of directors. In addition to being the rescue group’s spokesperson, this individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and interacts with the board of directors as well as volunteers. The President ensures that the organization is operating according to its mission statement and practicing fiscal responsibility. Position Responsibilities Include: Leading, managing, and developing the organization’s volunteers into a management team that effectively performs the day to day operations; namely, intake, foster, home visits, transport, adoptions, fundraising, communications, and volunteer recruitment. Working closely with the Treasurer to ensure support from donors and funds are raised through fundraisers and events that will adequately support program expenses. Working to cultivate and solicit major foundation grants and individual gifts. Developing and maintaining beneficial relationships with donors, funders, supporters, collaborators, allies, vendors, and other stakeholders. Providing recommendations, informing, and supporting the board. Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate is an experienced, creative, and resourceful professional who is well-organized, highly motivated, people-oriented, and excited about working in a nonprofit focused on saving homeless Golden Retrievers. Past experience as a professional or volunteer, with leadership skills, who can delegate, manage, and motivate a dedicated volunteer team would be important and someone who has previously held a nonprofit animal rescue position would be an added asset. Foster Homes Needed for Golden Rescues

Grateful Goldens Rescue needs loving families to open their homes and hearts to Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes in need. We do not have a facility--all Goldens and Golden mixes are fostered in a home environment. We can only help as many dogs as we have available foster homes. This is a wonderful way to have the enjoyment of a Golden without the expense or long-term commitment. Grateful Goldens Rescue provides all needed medical care and you provide the love and a safe environment for the Golden until it is adopted. Description

Grateful Goldens Rescue operates in the Coastal areas of SC. We rescue Goldens and Golden mixes from shelters and owners who no longer want them or can't care for them. We provide all medical care including vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm treatment, and other medical care needed in order to bring them to optimal health. Our Goldens and Golden mixes are fostered in a qualified foster home environment until ready for adoption into thoroughly screened loving, forever homes.
