Mission Statement

Anne Marie Rogers founded Rogers' Rescues in June 2002 after being involved in dog rescue for several years. She saw an opportunity to find homes for dogs languishing in shelters located in remote locations.

While people in New Jersey and Pennsylvania were on waiting lists for companion dogs at local shelters, Animal Control in rural areas of Kentucky and West Virginia had too many dogs and too few people able to give them homes. Overpopulation and low adoption rates forced these shelters to euthanize healthy companion animals every single day.

To help these dogs, Anne Marie founded Rogers' Rescues, an "all-breed" rescue welcoming any and every breed and mix.

Anne Marie Rogers has relocated to another part of the country. But her commitment and legacy is continued by the current volunteers with Rogers’ Rescues - now over 50 strong and growing every year.

Description

Rogers' Rescues is an all-breed dog rescue that relies on our network of foster homes and dog rescue volunteers spread from New Jersey to Southeastern Pennsylvania to care for all our adoptable dogs. Our volunteers commit their free time to helping place homeless dogs into loving adoptive homes. All Rogers' Rescues foster dogs currently live as members of the family with foster home volunteers. This foster care environment enables us to evaluate the dogs in real life situations and provide more information to potential adopters. In addition, committed volunteers work behind the scenes to facilitate the adoption process, plan fundraising events, and more.

Despite not having a physical location, Rogers’ Rescues has found loving homes for over a thousand dogs since its founding in June, 2002.
