Naam Yoga is a complete approach to personal mind-body wellness and universal consciousness. Naam Yoga merges the precise science of breath, sound, movement, and mudra therapy (hand postures) with the practical application of Universal Kabbalah(or you could say with the practical application of the laws of nature and the science of timing) sacred wisdom for total wellbeing. Anyone can do it!
Naam Yoga LA is offering a work/trade program, seeking vibrant, friendly, intelligent individuals who are quick thinkers and passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga and wellbeing with our clientele. Candidates must commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week in exchange for studio membership.
The Front Desk/Studio Team Member is someone who is able to remain calm, warm-hearted and professional while handling a variety of responsibilities and situations concurrently. Their smile welcomes guests into our yoga studio; their knowledge of our programs, classes and memberships makes it easy to promote and sell memberships to new and existing members. They are familiar with the principals of yoga and are interested in learning about and ensuring all practices and interactions at the studio are consistent with the Naam Yoga brand, values and philosophy. This position reports directly to the Front Desk and Operations Managers.
Provides outstanding customer service and sales, in person and via phone or email; greets customers; answers guest questions; recommends classes, trainings and workshops; explains studio processes and overall yoga etiquette to new students; accurately checks students in for classes; rings up retail purchases, workshops, packages, memberships and gift certificates and books wellness center appointments in Mind Body Online Point of Sale system.
Troubleshoots issues in a solution focused manner.
Assists with studio cleaning and organization, classroom/studios and common areas, by following a maintenance check list; has a manager sign off on duties completed as scheduled.
Accurately completes new member paperwork, enters information into a database and completes daily/nightly reports.
Manages needs of wellness center clientele and relationships and scheduling with therapists.
Has excellent verbal and written communications skills; comfortably communicates with management, guests, visitors, teachers and fellow staff members; ensures that all communications are professional in tone.
Assists the sales team members as needed, which includes signing up new members.
Establishes external relationships within the community to drive membership sales.
Conducts studio tours to first time visitors when needed.
Must have 2 years of front desk, retail sales and/or another related professional experience.
Mind Body Online and/or another database experience desired.
Experience working with both PC and Apple computers, and Microsoft Office a must.
Positive, warm and welcoming attitude.
Must be customer service oriented with a high attention to detail.
The ability to multi-task and function in a fast paced environment.
Self-starter who works effectively within a team as well as independently.
The ability to maintain strong work habits including excellent attendance and punctuality.
Minimum 3-month commitment.
Ability to problem solve and take initiative.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize.
Willing to work varying shifts, early mornings and/or evenings, and weekends.
Familiar with Naam Yoga and its key offerings; passionate about Yoga and the wellness industry.
