Mission Statement

Community Animal Welfare Society, a no-kill animal rescue organization. Operating in Utah, CAWS' purpose is Working With The Community to Help Animals.

Description

CAWS is a no-kill animal welfare and rescue organization specializing in feral (wild) cat colony management and the adoption of homeless pets. Feral cats are trapped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and returned to the colony. This method of colony control is more effective and humane than euthanasia at decreasing cat numbers, nuisance, disease and suffering. Our adoption program pairs abandoned dogs and cats with new loving families. Rescued animals come primarily from municipal animal shelters and live in volunteer foster homes until they are found permanent homes. Since its inception CAWS has saved thousands of animals in need, finding loving homes for hundreds of animals annually.

The fact that it is a "NO KILL" animal welfare and rescue organization for the wild and the homeless animals. I also do a daily 'clicking' on webmail I receive to donate towards saving and preserving animals, wildlife, cancer, literacy, hunger, and healthcare for children.
