Mission Statement

Share the Harvest connects community gardens and gardeners to individuals who are in need of food providing excess quality produce to these individuals. When local gardens are overflowing with produce, Share the Harvest provides a means for gardeners to donate their excess and delivers the produce to the community.

Description

Share the Harvest is a volunteer-driven organization that has established several collection points around Guilford County where gardeners can drop off their surplus of produce. From these collection points the produce is delivered to the Interactive Resource Center in downtown Greensboro where it is distributed to food pantries and agencies feeding the food insecure in our community. Our efficient distribution keeps waste at a minimum ensuring that the donated produce reaches the end user.
