Mission Statement

The International Center of the Capital Region (Albany, NY) is helping its residents engage with the world through professional and educational international programming opportunities. Promoting citizen diplomacy through dialogue, professional appointment and home hospitality, the ICCR strives to bring together people from divergent backgrounds in order to increase understanding and friendship - one handshake at a time.

Description

The ICCR, a designated Council for International Vistors, one of 93 nationwide, hosts international delegations in the US on professional and cultural programs.

The ICCR facilitates educational programs and projects that foster awareness and advocacy about cultural diversity and global issues through classroom and community dialogue and presentation.

Advocacating for a community that welcomes the foreign born, the ICCR also promotes the assets of the New York Capital Region to the global community.
