Description

Through fundraising programs such as an annual Economic Conference, special events, mailings and community outreach, the Foundation raises funds to provide:

• Scholarships: typically between $45,000-55,000 is awarded to Tunxis students annually
• Support to service learning programs to expand students’ and faculty members’ academic experiences: recent trips included Tunxis students traveling to Belize to provide dental services and to Monument Valley, Utah to interview Hopi and Navajo Indian tribes
• Student emergency aid
• Arts and cultural programs
• Equipment, furnishings and computers
• Support to veterans returning to college after serving their country in the military.
