Mission Statement

The BET Foundation seeks to improve the health status of the African-American community by promoting healthy lifestyles concepts and communication strategies to reduce health risks. We accomplish our mission through a multi-dimensional education campaign and by raising public awareness within the African-American community about health-related concerns and social impacts.

Description

The BET Foundation is a non-profit organization established to create a healthy lifestyles national education campaign. The Foundation offers national, multi-tiered initiatives focused on eliminating health disparities, obesity and related chronic diseases among African American women ages 19-54 and girls ages 10-17.
