Mission Statement

The Bike Church provides the tools, shop space, and supervision for a diverse community to learn, share
knowledge, and effectively repair bicycles at low cost. This promotes: safe bicycling, more bikes in use, reuse of materials destined for landfill, and learning opportunities via hands-on-work, classes, and apprenticeships.

Description

Volunteers and Paid staff work with all patrons to help them repair their own bicycles. Many volunteers may have little or no experience with working on bikes, but experienced mechanics teach both patrons and volunteers. We strive to empower our patrons and volunteers to use bicycles for transportation. We also receive many donations of older used bicycles which we sell at for cheap, to encourage more bike riding.
