Mission Statement
The mission statement of Mountain Resource Center is to identify and advocate needed services for mountain area residents within its service area and to bring institutions and individuals together to provide these programs via a local, single point of entry.
Description
Mountain Resource Center (MRC) was established in 1992 as a result of residents in the Denver metropolitan foothills area coming together to study critical concerns regarding the total lack of basic human resources in their rural communities. As a result of these initiatives, program priorities were defined, funded and implemented. The mission and programs of Mountain Resource Center evolved from these roots. "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" continues to be the organization's guiding principle for offering high quality and cost efficient programs and services. Today, Mountain Resource Center fosters healthy, strong, safe, self-reliant families and communities within the organization's 1,000 square mile service area.
