Mission Statement

The Berkeley County Health Department is committed to providing quality, comprehensive health care to citizens of Berkeley County by monotoring communicable diseases, ensuring safe food and water supplies and providing education for prevention related to having a healthy community. Further, the Berkeley County Health Department will p;ay a pivitol role in the coordination and implementation of response measures upon the recognition of a public health threat and/or an emergency.

Description

The Berkeley County Health Department provides health services and education to all residents of Berkeley County and works with the two area hospitals and universities to ensure quality programs.

Berkley County Health Department recently became active as a member of thr CDC Medical Reserve Corps which covers three counties and is seeking to expand this program.
