Mission Statement

The Chamber is organized for the promotion and advancement of the Winter, Wisconsin area. The Chamber may engage in any legal activity, pursuant to its incorporation, in furtherance of area promotion and advancement.

In general, we strengthen and promote area businesses while also striving to encourage new local business development as well as other businesses relocating here.

Description

We promote businesses through our website, through exposure via local festivals and events and through representation at the yearly Milwaukee Sports show.

We also support our businesses through strategic alliances with the Hayward Visitors and Convention bureau as well as representation on the Sawyer County Economic Development Corporation.

We also promote businesses and the business climate through our chamber directory brochure, through inclusion in area directories and most recently via a new local business development commission.

This new Winter Area Business Development Commission will be attempting to gain 501 C 3 status with the IRS. If successful, this will allow us to apply for relevant grants to help us with needed infrastructure, building facades and similar improvements needed to attract new and strengthen existing business.
