Mission Statement

Buddies for Life, Inc. started in 2003 for the purpose of finding homes for homeless animals, mostly dogs and puppies. Although we have always advocated and supported low-cost spay/neuter as well as humane education, our focus has shifted from our original goal to raising public awareness of the importance of spay/neuter and helping to provide low cost spay/neuter surgery. We are looking into starting our own spay/neuter clinic as well.

Description

We are a very small orginazation with no shelter. Rather our dogs and puppies live in foster homes so that they can get a better start. Adjustment from a foster home to a permanemt one is easier than adjustment from a shelter environment. In addition, foster families often train the puppy or dog in ways that are difficult in a shelter. We show dogs and puppies at Petsmart on weekends.
