Mission Statement

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Envisioning a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Description

  • Habitat for Humanity builds and repairs decent houses using volunteer labor, donations of materials or money, and efficient management
  • Houses are built and then sold at no profit, with zero interest mortgages. All mortgage payments go toward funding to build additional houses
  • Houses are not given away. Homeowners put forward 500 hours of "Sweat Equity" while houses are constructed. Hours may be contributed by friends as well as family, and can be used either on the build site, or in mandatory classes.
  • More information about our Program can be found on the Homeownership Webpage.
