Mission Statement

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education.

Description

While supporting the mission and principles of the Surfrider Foundation, the Long Beach Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to reconfiguring the Long Beach Breakwater to bring waves back to Long Beach.

Other chapter campaigns/activities include beach clean-ups, Rise Above Plastics, Blue Water Task Force and Ocean Friendly Garden.

Our organization is a non-profit chapter, that benefits only from your direct support locally. If you are interested in volunteering your skills and time, please contact any of our executive committee members listed in our website. We appreciate your support and help in maintaining our local beaches.
