Good Samaritan Vision is a community-based organization founded in the year 2003. The founders of the organization are Christians of integrity ready to provide services, care and support to the society.The community-based organization is registered with the department of Culture and Social Services Kilifi District Office. Good Samaritans Vision is to reach out to the needy masses through the support of orphaned children & youth. Currently Good Samaritan Vision is reaching out to over 26-orphaned families with different life betterment projects.At the moment the organization is working closely with Donors and Volunteers on an ambitious project to launch the Samaritan Homes and Children’s Haven (SHCH). Work is in progress and the project is fast taking shape. Samaritan Homes and Children’s Haven (SHCH) liaises closely with the Provisional Administration, Ministry Of Health, Ministry of Education and other development agencies to foster and build a better future for the youth and children in our society. Samaritan Homes and Children’s Haven's (SHCH) mission and vision are : The provision of basic needs to support life of children in need. To care for orphaned children or those only with one parent. Innovate and develop sustainability projects. Provide mental and physical build up support. Create and maintain social link with the Natural family and other clusters. Provide strong Christian Values. Provide Education. Provide Medical Care. Provide Vocational Skills Training. Provide Shelter.

The Samaritan Homes and Children’s Haven Project is worth the investment it stands on as this is the only way to make the vision self supporting and sustainable community possible. The problem of destitute children, Orphans and poverty in society is growing steadily. However maintaining the Samaritan homes and Children’s haven as a rescue centre is very challenging. Rehabilitating such children and later on re-uniting them with their relatives is in conformity with the cultures around as people are related and children should be in touch with their close family members. Many children’s homes started have remained dependant on foreign donors, hand outs and a borrowing basket, however Good Samaritan Vision embarks on a sustainability mission and vision that will ensure future sustainability of the Samaritan Homes and Children’s Haven. The care for children in this region against exploitation, trafficking, prostitution e.tc is paramount before the eyes of many and God. The Good Samaritan vision needs to be promoted and supported by society and so encourage community members to take responsibilities for the less fortunate in society. Establishing a home, school and nature park will encourage the culture of learning, creativity and sustainability. This efforts by Good Samaritan Vision have paid dividends as encouraging results can already be seen and construction of the School, Orphanage and Nature Park are already in top gear .Prospects are high that this project has potential in rehabilitating the children from the local and up country communities. This project rekindles the hope of the children and communities for a better future and keeps the vision of Good Samaritan alive.
