Northwest Institute for Social Change

The Northwest Institute for Social Change teaches college students, journalists and other non-profits how media tools can be used to help bring about positive social change. Each summer, for example, we host an eight-week intense program for a dozen select college students. They attended media classes in the morning and spend their afternoons working hands-on with audio and video documentary projects that look at specific social issues--and potential solutions. In addition, we teach media seminars (free, no cost to the participants) for non-profits to learn how to produce better media products that can articulate their missions and messages.
