The TAKE Defense program has delivered women's self defense programming to over 28,000 women and girls in 2007. Since it's inception in 2002, TAKE has served women from all 50 states in over 300 locations.

The TAKE Defense program focuses on three specific areas of training:

* Personal safety awareness-heightening the senses to make the participant more aware of the potential for attack or confrontation;

* Attack prevention strategies-the first level of defense and how to successfully remove yourself before a confrontation becomes an attack;

* Hands-on self defense training-actual physical defense techniques used to repel an attack.

The TAKE Defense program empowers women to know they can handle themselves successfully when confronted without fear.
