The Super Bowl 50 Host Committee is the organization responsible for the planning and production of
Super Bowl 50’s event sites, including the Super Bowl Fan Village, public exhibits and preparation for
game day, working in conjunction with the NFL.
As Host Committee, it’s our responsibility to not only raise funds to pay for Super Bowl 50 and its
celebration events, but also ensure that the unique fabric of the Bay Area is woven throughout the
The Host Committee is focused on creating a Super Bowl that not only brings people together, but also
gives back in a meaningful way and leaves a lasting impact in the Bay Area. An unprecedented 25% of
every dollar raised by the San Francisco Bay Area Super Bowl 50 Host Committee will go toward
supporting community initiatives and local nonprofits.
The Super Bowl is coming to the San Francisco Bay Area in February 2016. The Super Bowl is annually
the most-watched television program in the United States, with an average audience of more than 100
million viewers, as well as one of the most-watched events worldwide.
The game on February 7, 2016 - Super Bowl Sunday - will be hosted in the state-of-the-art Levi’s
Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which the greenest and most technologically advanced NFL
football stadium in the United States.
Super Bowl 50 will kick off the first week of February 2016, with a weeklong series of public events held
throughout the region. These events will include the NFL Experience and the Super Bowl Fan Village in
the City of San Francisco, featuring activities for all ages that celebrate game of football as well as all the
San Francisco Bay Area has to offer from arts and culture to live entertainment, and food and drink.
