The SOL Project, African Americans for smoke-free, safe places advocates for smoke-free, healthy communities.
Description
The SOL Project works with the African American community to advocate for smoke-free policies at bus stops and train stations, in outdoor dining areas and other outdoor public areas where people are exposed to tobacco smoke; SOL also provides cessation resources for smokers who want to quit. SOL also is working on a community action plan that addresses social determinants of health and how they impact the African American community in Sacramento County.
