Mission Statement

Our mission is to support the personal, professional and financial needs of immigrants, homeless and low-income families and individuals through career training, continuing education and English language services. We also assist immigrants who have graduated in their country find employment that matches their education level. Russian immigrant and single mother Irina Belushin founded PROJECT YOU in 2008. Upon her arrival to NYC, Irina immediately saw the need for services to help the immigrants who make up such a large percentage of NYC communities. The people of PROJECT YOU are driven by their desire to be catalysts for positive change; therefore, they are inspired by the people they help every day and encouraged to always think of how they can help strengthen our communities by helping one individual at a time. The PROJECT YOU mantra: "how can we help".


Project You is a nonprofit organization that aims to improve the life of individuals by providing services in the areas of continued education, career advancement, and employment assistance. We strive to provide New York City communities with services that will allow individuals to excel despite language, and economic barriers. These services represent all of the diverse groups that shape our community, including immigrants, women, men, and youth. individuals are eligible to receive english learning classes, career advising, vocational training, and employment assistance. At PROJECT YOU, our main priority is the needs and wants of NYC’s low-income communities. Our programs help to advance our students, empowering them with the skills needed to excel in their career.
