Mission Statement

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at West Virginia University is a member-driven, community based institute offering non-credit, for the "Joy of Learning" experiences, through courses, lectures, travel, and special event programming designed for adults, 50 years and older, who want to engage socially and intellectually with their peers.

Description

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU, known as OLLI at WVU, is a membership organization, housed within the School of Public Health at West Virginia University, that recognizes the unique experiences, capabilities and wisdom of mature members of the community. OLLI at WVU emphasizes the sharing of ideas through peer learning, member participation and collaborative leadership and we are currently planning programming designed for people age 50 or older for a pilot satellite site in Charleston, WV.
