To provide fire supression and first aid services to Sussex Borough and Wantage Township.

Description

Sussex Fire Department and EMS was founded in 1896 as the Wallkill Hose Company and Protection Hook and Ladder. Both organizations merged into what is today Sussex Fire Department.

We serve 25 square miles of area in and around Sussex and Wantage NJ. Our house boasts a fully qualifed and equipped truck company, as well as 2 fully staffed and equipped engines. We also house 2 ambulances that are staffed by NJ State Certified EMT's and qualified drivers.
