Mission Statement

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Money raised in our chapter stays in our territory to grant local wishes.

Description

The foundation began in 1980 and has since granted over 155,000 wishes. Our chapter was established in 1983, and we have granted over 3,400 wishes. We serve all 105 counties in Missouri and 6 counties in Kansas that are part of Metro Kansas City.

Volunteers play a vital role in fulfilling wishes within our organization. Hours are flexible and all volunteers receive training. We can work with your schedule and availability and can try to find the right fit for you! We have a lot of fun, rewarding events throughout the year to help these deserving, brave children.

Please email me your address and I can mail you an application and more information about the Make-A-Wish Foundation. You must be 18 to volunteer (21 to grant wishes), and a background check is required.
