Kansas City Metro Food Pantry (Olathe) Needs Volunteers

Flexible Schedule | Olathe, KS 66062

NHFP needs all types of volunteers with lots of different gifts at different days and times through out the week. We need volunteers with a wide range of skills. If you have people or organizational skills, there are positions like client check-in, shelf stocking, and food marking that is always in need of people to help. We also need drivers, and people to collect food from stores who have agreed to provide the pantry with food for families in need. We also need people with administrative, secretarial, marketing, and other type skills. We need ongoing workers, and also people who can volunteer only once or twice that want to show up for a few hours and make a difference. We need you! The NHFP serves approximagtely 35,000 people in 2019, and we are growing! We need people like you to step up and get involved. It only takes a little effort to collectively make a big difference!

Client Check-in - Daytime Volunteer Opportunity

Flexible Schedule | Olathe, KS 66062

The New Hope Food Pantry needs people with basic computer knowledge that are willing to learn how to check families in need and process their order so they can receive food assistance in Johnson, Miami, & Wyandotte County, KS. You will be trained. This position is an ongoing volunteer position once a week for 2-3 hour shifts. This is a very rewarding position because you get to interact with each client that comes in needing assistance. This position is available for volunteering between the hours of 12:45-6pm Monday-Friday though we look for people to work 1 shift a week (2-3 hours).
