Description

The Department of Human Services administers an array of assistance programs for Michigan residents. From food assistance and child care benefits, the department works with families in need of a helpig hand as they chart a path to self-sufficiency.

The department is also responsible for child welfare in the state, including the safety and well-being of the approximately 14,000 children in foster care.
