Seeds of Compassion Volunteer Sales Force Database Administrator Position Title: Database Administrator - Sales Force Job Duration: Now until April Location: Foundation office in Bellevue. Telecommuting allowed. Time Expectation: 2-10 hours a week Position Summary Seeds of Compassion is a budding initiative in Washington state who's mission is to nurture kindness and compassion in the world, starting with children and all those who touch their lives. Seeds of Compassion will serve as a unifying catalyst to amplify the work of the many organizations and programs focusing on this critical area beginning with a transformative event anchored by the deep wisdom of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Seattle, Washington from April 12-15, 2008. This community-focused event will celebrate and explore the relationships, programs and tools that nurture and empower children, families and communities to be compassionate members of society. The position of data administrator will be to provide data support to Seeds volunteers and staff. Specific Responsibilities: • Train data entry volunteers and answer questions. • Create custom database reports and assist in analyzing data for organizational effectiveness. • Develop standards and guidelines to guide to protect information, specify users, and user access levels for each segment of database. • Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations. • Give 2-10 hours a week for the month of December, continuing through April. Qualifications: • Experience with online Sales force database • Effective communication skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills, including patience, compassion, and problem-solving • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities
