Mission Statement

Since 1990, the San Diego Housing Federation has worked to ensure that all San Diegans, regardless of income, have a chance at a safe, stable and affordable place to call home.

We do this by offering education, advancing smart policies and growing the capacity of those who build, finance and advocate for homes that are affordable to San Diegans in need: working families, returning veterans, senior citizens and those living with mental and physical disability.

Description

  • We inform the public, media, and decision makers about the need for more safe, healthy and affordable homes in the region.
  • We expandthe expertise of our members and others interested in learning about trends, best practices, and opportunities in affordable housing development.
  • We offer networking opportunities to enable members to make new, and strengthen, existing connections.
  • We provide information to members, policymakers, and the community about affordable housing trends and initiatives.
  • We build coalitions to enable us to act more effectively.

Every day, San Diego Housing Federation works to build the industry that is building affordable housing. We are the voice for those that provide housing to the thousands of San Diego children, seniors, veterans, and working families who need a safe, stable affordable place to call home.
