The Foster Grandparent Program provides income-eligible senior citizens volunteer opportunities within their own communities. Foster Grandparents work one-on-one with children who have special or exceptional needs in schools, youth centers, non-profit day care facilities, centers for the developmentally disabled, etc.

Description

The Foster Grandparent Program is sponsored by Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency (NEMCSA). NEMCSA is a community action agency whose mission is to provide quality planning, programs, and services to individuals, families, and communities through the best use of human and financial resources.
