The origin of the name 'Cazateatro’In August of 2006, GioLópez gathered a group of people interested in learning and doing theater, which she called Cazateatro Independent Theatre. The word 'Cazateatro’ came about as a complex play on words. First, finding people interested in doing theater was a real hunt (caza, in Spanish). Also, the group gathered and rehearsed in public parks because they didn’t have a place they could call home (casa). The participants wound up opening up their homes in order to give Cazateatro its home. This anecdote of the group’s beginnings shows how the words casa and caza came to merge, giving rise to the name 'Cazateatro’.
