Do you want to make a difference in our community? NAMI Lane County is looking for dedicated and passionate volunteers to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. You will be able work on special projects involving our cause while getting valuable experience and skills. We value our volunteers and their work! If you are interested in this great opportunity and want more information, please call (541) 343-7688. Mileage Reimbursement is available for all Volunteer Opportunities up to the Federal Rate! Education Programs Facilitator (two options): 1. Family to Family Facilitator Family to Family is a 8-week course led by trained volunteers with lived experience as a loved one to someone with a mental health condition. A $250 stipend is available to each facilitator upon completion of the course Additional requirements: You must complete the course as a participant and then have additional training through NAMI Oregon. Training is offered online at no cost. 2. Peer to Peer Facilitator Peer to Peer is an 8-week course led by trained volunteers who have lived experience with mental health conditions. A $250 stipend is available to each facilitator upon completion of the course. Additional requirements: You must complete the course as a participant and then have additional training through NAMI Oregon. Training is offered online at no cost. Support Groups Facilitator (two options): 1. NAMI Family Support Group Facilitator Family Support Group is a support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental illness and is led by trained volunteers who have lived experience with a loved one with a mental health condition. Groups meet bi-weekly and facilitators would ideally co-facilitate one of those groups per month. A $15 stipend is available to each facilitator per group. We plan to extend this to weekly once we receive enough volunteer support. Additional Requirements: You must participate in a NAMI Support Group, then have additional training offered through NAMI Oregon. Training is offered online at no cost. 2. NAMI Connection Support Group Facilitator Connection Support Group is a support group for people living with mental health conditions led by trained volunteers with lived experience. Groups meet biweekly and monthly and facilitators would ideally co-facilitate one group per week. A $15 stipend is available to each facilitator per group. Additional Requirements: You must participate in a NAMI Support Group, then have additional training offered through NAMI Oregon. Training is offered online at no cost. Special Events and Projects Volunteers: Tabling Opportunities: We are looking for 2 more volunteers to table with us on August 17 from 8am-12 pm 45 minutes from Downtown Springfield. Commuting is required. Please email me for details! 2. NAMI Walk Volunteers Multiple positions available for our annual walk in May 2025. The walk provides many opportunities, such as tabling, registration, t-shirt distribution, set-up & tear-down, route directors, photographer, and videographer. We are taking volunteers starting March 2025.
