Description
The Salvation Army of Pittsburgh Northside provides various services to the community We collaborate with another organization called Health Care for the Homeless to provide a free medical clinic on Mon, Wed and Friday. We partner with the local VA for benefits counselling and with the local Psych Hospital to offer treatment to the residents of the shelter.
We have a Social Worker on staff to deal with basic needs and emergencies such as emergency food and utility assistance.
We provide a vairiety of Christian programs including worship services, bible studies, character building classes for children and a senior group for ladies. Pastoral couselling is also available
We have a youth counseling program with a counselor who works with troubled children in local elementary and middle schools.
