Mission Statement

The mission of Life Light Street Productions is to help instill hope for a second chance, to develop knowledge in television production and college preparation, and to build access to professional networks and alternative career paths. We are an organization that teaches youth how to produce documentary films.

Description

Life Light uses documentary film training to introduce youth to media production. We work to create space for youth who feel marginalized to have their voices matter through media arts expression; to provide youth an opportunity to expand their skills by exposing them to training conducted by respected media experts; and to develop networking opportunities that youth often have challenges establishing. We primarily work with youth in South Jamaica Queens and the surrounding areas.
