Mission Statement

To promote health awareness through education, testing and prevention. To support and enhance collaboration and cooperation with area non-profits, businesses, schools and organizations in the counties that make up Area 8: Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Sarasota-- and extend collaboration with Manatee county. Outreach is provided free of charge through donations and by our community partner Hedges Pharmacy. We ask our collaborators to do the same so all may benefit from this free service.

Description

We offer no-cost health screenings and education both at our location and on our Mobile unit. We provide Rapid HIV testing (results in 15 minutes), Cholesterol screening*, Diabetes screening, Blood Pressure screening, BMI calculation, and STD screening (to name a few).
*Cholesterol screenings are $9, a savings of $25 to $30 dollars.

Originally started as a health education and prevention service by Hedges HealthMart Pharmacy in Sarasota and shortly after becoming it's own charitable organization, CARES Outreach has grown into the fastest growing HIV testing facility in the area. We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our community partner Hedges Pharmacy and all that helped us reach the success that we have had. Our Office is located at 38 N Lime Ave, Sarasota, FL 34237 (next to Hedges HealthMart Pharmacy in the same building).
