Description

Our focus is:

-- to educate the public on responsible pet ownership emphasizing spay/neuter, vaccination programs, and practical, humane advice on pet behavior for owners; and to encourage continuing education for shelter personnel and other animal professionals.

-- to support the expedited adoption of companion animals at the city's animal shelter and those animals that have been pulled for adoption by area rescue organizations.

-- to promote the saving of lives of all healthy and treatable companion animals.

-- to disseminate public information regarding the humane welfare of companion animals.

-- to foster an ongoing dialog and system of shared resources with area humane welfare organizations that embrace this common vision.
