Mission Statement

The Center for Urban Agriculture is a community garden space in Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum. It is an area dedicated to providing garden plots (vegetables, fruits, and herbs) to community members. These gardens help to educate and empower others to grow their own food and live a healthy lifestyle.

Description

Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum (KBGA) is located on 47 acres of former Howell Nurseries, featuring walking trails, edible community gardens, display gardens, unique & historic horticulture and over two miles of distinctive stone walls and timeless buildings, just five minutes from downtown. 14 of those acres belong to the Center for Urban Agriculture, where 5 farming areas are utilized by community members.
