Mission Statement
The YCW works to create a society which actively seeks to support and respect the God-given dignity of each person.
We will consciously uphold basic human rights; especially the right to meaningful and just work.
We will educate for global awareness and solidarity.
Through taking action and reviewing in our communities, young people will discover the deepest meaning and mission of their lives.
Description
The YCW is run FOR, BY, and WITH young people. Members of the Australian YCW consist of men and women aged between 16 - 30 years old who are students, professionals, volunteers, full-time, part-time, and casual workers, who gather in friendship groups to discuss key issues affecting their lives.
The AYCW aims to Represent, Educate and Serve all young workers. Culture in the Workplace : "Our Space in the Workplace ", is a campaign that reflects the reality of young workers and their struggle to feel secure in their jobs when it comes to workplace culture, secure work, and work-life balance.
Based upon Catholic Social Teaching, the YCW strives to emulate Christ through actions and works- brining about change to the individual and to those around them.
