Our mission is to provide foster care, adoption and mentoring services to abused, neglected and at-risk children. Our focuses are advocacy, prevention, treatment, reunification, permanency, and community outreach.
Child Safe Michigan provides youth and young adults, ages 7-23, the opportunity to positively interact with an adult mentor. Youth are given the chance to develop a relationship with an adult mentor , other than an authority figure, who then becomes a role model and advocate for the youth.
Youth have the opportunity to participate in our community based program or our school based program.
Child Safe’s Michigan community mentoring program is the only successful mentoring program in the state that is dedicated primarily to youth in foster care.
Our school based program uses the award winning, school curriculum that Winning Futures designed and structured with business leaders, educators, parents and students. The curriculum focus on character values, goal setting, strategic planning and career exploration with a ratio of mentees to mentors of no more than 4:1.
