Mission Statement

To train mental health professionals, religious leaders, lay ministers and individuals in effective methods of inner healing through the power of Jesus Christ, while providing a spiritually rich, educationally substantial and personally fulfilling learning experience.

Description

For over seven years Serenity Retreat, a 501 (c)(3) organization, has provided prayer ministry and quality education in a vibrant and supportive Christian environment. Located in Houston, Texas, surrounded by lush green trees and a residential community. The board of directors, staff, prayer ministers, volunteers and students are all devoted to participating in healing spiritual and emotional needs of individuals who are recovering from post traumatic stress, mental health concerns, substance abuse and domestic violence. Our outreach program is an extension of our services to other non-profit organizations and community members. We collaborate with organizations such as: · Star of Hope Women's Transitional Living Center · United Way - Facilities and Resources · Boy Scouts of America - Volunteers · Touch Family Church, Clear Lake · St. John United Methodist Church Downtown · The Catholic Charismatic Center · First United Methodist Church of Houston, West Campus · Community Christian Fellowship of Kingwood
