REACH 4A Star Riding Academy is committed to improving the overall health, well-being, and quality of life of differently-abled children and adults in our community. We achieve our mission by providing meaningful opportunities for participation in remedial and therapeutic, equine assisted activities and events. In safe, secure, professional, and caring environments, REACH 4A Star gives all people the chance for personal development, achievement and enjoyment.

Description

REACH 4A Star Riding Academy is a program of I-REACH 2 Inc. Our parent company serves adults with disabilities in the areas of day services, vocational training, and residential & respite services. REACH 4A Star Riding Academy is a community based program which provides horsemanship lessons. Each rider who is accepted is evaluated on their horsemanship skills and then goals are set. Most classes are done as group lessons but we do offer some one on one lessons as well. REACH 4A Star started in 2005 with 6 riders and in 2007 we served 112 different riders. We currently have an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, and a barn with a loafing shed sitting on 60 acres. We have 22 horses, 5 part time instructors, and about 30 consistent volunteers. Our growth this year(2007) was phenominal and it looks like it will continue to grow as long as we can provide the staff-instructors and volunteers.
