The purpose of the Whatcom Family & Community Network Our purpose is to assure all Whatcom County families and children are safe, healthy, and thriving. WFCN focuses on community organizing at both the neighborhood and county-wide level. We bring together residents and key leaders to solve problems and build on existing community strengths, using the principles of asset-based community development and family support. We believe healthy and well-connected communities are necessary to support healthy families and healthy families are the foundation of a healthy community.
