Mission Statement

The Mission of the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation is to work side by side with the medical community to provide social, emotional, educational, and psychological support services and programs to families of ALL children diagnosed with life threatening or critical illnesses such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, hemophilia, renal disorders and other immunologic diseases.

Description

We work to identify and fill the voids that exist in our community in helping children with critical illnesses. We support children in our community and we are dependant on local support. The foundation receives over 250 new diagnoses per year and work to find resources and funds to meet the needs of the children and families that have been devastated by a life threatening diagnosis.

We offer 18 programs (and growing) including our largest - Camp Cartwheel. This summer camp has become one of the largest camps in the western United States for children with life threatening and critical illnesses and their siblings.
